Philanthropy

From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.

If you aren’t familiar with this charitable organization, The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a “home-away-from-home” for families whose children are very sick and receiving treatment in nearby hospitals. There are over 350 houses all over the world, and since the first RMH opened its doors, more than 39,000 people have found a home when they needed it most. The RMHC provides a comfortable, supportive, temporary residence near the medical facility where family members can sleep, eat, relax, and find support from other families in similar situations. The Ronald McDonald House in San Diego opened in 1974, just a few miles away from USD’s campus. We are so grateful for the opportunity to work hands-on with RMHC San Diego and be connected with such an incredible organization.
